Sometimes people ask what else I've had published besides novels. I avoid answering this question, because the truth is nothing, and that's embarrassing. I did try to sell some short stories once, but they got rejected. And now I like writing novels, so I don't write much short fiction at all.

But I have to fill in my time somehow. So here are three essays and a story:
